Einleitung

Das Fach „Fachenglisch“ hat die Aufgabe, die erworbenen allgemein-sprachlichen Kenntnisse, Fähigkeiten und Fertigkeiten für berufliche Handlungssituationen auszubauen.

Anliegen ist es, die Schülerinnen und Schüler zu befähigen, im beruflichen Kontext erfolgreich zu kommunizieren und zu kooperieren, den erworbenen Fachwortschatz in allen Kompetenzbereichen anzuwenden, zu erweitern sowie orthografisch und phonetisch abzusichern. Relevante grammatische Strukturen werden aktiviert, Aussprache und Intonation sowie grundlegende grammatische Strukturen gefestigt. Des Weiteren werden sozio- und interkulturelle Kenntnisse mit dem Ziel vermittelt, Sicherheit im Umgang mit ausländischen Kommunikationspartnern zu entwickeln.

In den Bereichen Rezeption, Produktion, Mediation und Interaktion werden berufsbezogene fremdsprachliche Kompetenzen erworben. Das ermöglicht das Ablegen der freiwilligen Zertifikatsprüfung zum Nachweis berufsbezogener Fremdsprachenkenntnisse für die Berufe im Gesundheits- und Pflegebereich. Als Abschlussniveau kann eine selbstständige Sprachverwendung auf dem Niveau B1 des KMK-Fremdsprachenzertifikats2 erreicht werden, das sich an den Referenzniveaus des Gemeinsamen Europäischen Referenzrahmens für Sprachen: lernen, lehren, beurteilen (GeR) orientiert.

Der Unterricht ist weitgehend einsprachig zu führen und handlungsorientiert, z. B. durch Projektarbeit, Gruppenarbeit und Rollenspiele, auszurichten. Dazu sind die Simulation wirklichkeitsnaher Situationen im Unterricht, die Nutzung moderner Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik und Medien sowie das Anwenden von Lern- und Arbeitstechniken eine wesentliche Voraussetzung.

Um den unterschiedlichen Leistungsvoraussetzungen der Schülerinnen und Schüler gerecht zu werden, wird insbesondere Binnendifferenzierung, bspw. durch Gruppenarbeit, Verteilung individueller Arbeitsaufgaben bzw. Außendifferenzierung, z. B. durch Klassenteilung, empfohlen.

Die Schülerinnen und Schüler können berufsbezogene Sachverhalte zwischen Partnern, die unterschiedliche Sprachen sprechen, vermitteln. Sie geben in Englisch dargestellte Sachverhalte unter Verwendung von Hilfsmitteln auf Deutsch wieder oder übertragen in Deutsch dargestellte Sachverhalte ins Englische, wobei es nicht auf sprachliche und stilistische, sondern auf die inhaltliche Übereinstimmung ankommt.
